Make Your Snaps Stand Out with Featured Sounds
These song snippets can be added to your photos and videos automatically by using the Snapchat app. For now, Snapchat’s sound library is far less than that of other apps like Tik Tok, and there is no way to look for specific songs or sounds inside the library.
- Tap the Camera icon in the bottom menu to access the snap tab in the Snapchat app.
- Make a decision about whether or not you want a sound to accompany your picture before you take it. Take a picture or make a video now in case you decide to include it later.
- Make sure you’ve got your music player open by tapping its icon on your right-hand side.
- In the Featured Sounds page, you’ll see a list of tracks with thumbnail photos, song titles, as well as the names of their artists. An audio preview can be heard by clicking the play button symbol located to the right of any track.
- To add a track as a snap sound, simply preview it and then tap the blue Next button at the bottom of the screen.
- The Sound Timeline at the bottom of the screen can be used to drag and select the right area to include in your snap preview, and then hit the checkmark symbol to approve. You’ll see a sticker with the song name and artist name above your photo. You can move it around the screen by dragging and dropping it, but your sound will be lost if you do so into the trash symbol at the bottom.
- Edit or add features like stickers and filters, then select the blue arrow button to share or publish it on your social media.
- Snap a new photo with a different soundtrack if you are not happy with the result.
How to Make Your Snaps More Personal by Adding Your Own Sounds
It is possible to record your own noises on Snapchat and have them automatically appear in your snaps if there are no pre-recorded sounds to choose from.
Those are the first three things you should do.
- Tap + Create Sound at the top of the Featured Sounds tab.
- Tap the Record button to begin recording while your sound is playing, whether it’s on your smartphone, in another app, or somewhere else.
- To stop recording, press the Record button a second time. You’ll hear a sample of what you’ll sound like. To trim your sound clip, simply drag the caps at the beginning and end of the Sound Timeline to the desired length. You may also choose to make your sound public by tapping the Make this sound public? button.
- Then, click the blue Save Sound button.
- Add the saved sound on your photo and preview it. Select the Sound Timeline option at the bottom of the screen and drag it where you want it, then tap the checkmark symbol to confirm your selection.
My Sounds is a new tab that will appear whenever you open the Featured Sounds tab by touching the music note icon. Long-pressing on a saved sound will allow you to edit or delete it. After that, you may either Edit or Delete it to make changes to its name or privacy settings.
Keep adding features and altering, then select the blue arrow button to share it with friends and publish it on social media.
