There is a complete list of the Twitch chat commands viewers can use during a stream. In order to stand out from other viewers, use all of these Twitch chat commands

Twitch chatrooms are a great way for streamers and viewers to interact, but they’re more than just a place to type words and use Twitch emotes. In addition to changing the font colour and opening user profiles, Twitch chat commands can also be used to block trolls.

Availability of Twitch Chat Commands

If you’re watching a video game stream on Twitch, you’re already familiar with basic text-based chat commands known as “Twitch chat commands.” If you’re watching a Twitch stream on the Twitch website, an Xbox or PlayStation console, or the official iOS and Android Twitch apps, you can use chat commands to interact with the stream.

Commands in Valorant or Minecraft will not work on Twitch because they are not native to the Twitch platform.

A complete list of all officially recognised Twitch chat commands that can be used by both the channel owner and the average viewer is provided below.

In order for the following chat commands to work, they must all be preceded by a forward slash (/). The forward slash and chat command should not have a space between them.

For instance:

CommandDescription
modsDisplays a list of all of the moderators in the chat.
vipsDisplays a list of all of the VIPs in the chat.
color {color name}Changes the color of your username within the chat. Available colors are Blue, Coral, DodgerBlue, SpringGreen, YellowGreen, Green, OrangeRed, Red, GoldenRod, HotPink, CadetBlue, SeaGreen, Chocolate, BlueViolet, and Firebrick.
color {color HEX value}Same as the above but HEX color values can be used instead of color names.
block {username}Using this will prevent you from seeing messages from a specific user.
unblock {username}Use this to unblock someone you’ve previously blocked.
me {type anything here}Use this before typing to change your message’s color to that of your name. This isn’t recommended as many streamers don’t like this being abused.
disconnectThis chat command will stop the Twitch chat from refreshing. You can reconnect to the chat by reloading the window.
w {username} {text}Use this chat command to send a private message to another chat user.

Twitch Mods Chat Commands

Additional chat commands for moderators and channel owners are available in addition to the above-mentioned chat commands for viewers. As well as using the standard chat commands, Twitch streamers and moderators have their own list of Twitch chat commands that give them greater authority and control over their broadcasts.

Use of Twitch Chat Bots and Custom Chat Commands

When you’re watching a stream on Twitch, you may see chat commands that aren’t on the list above. Many of these come from chatbots that have been added to the channel by the owner. Viewers can participate in games created by these chatbots or add new features to an existing Twitch chat session using these tools.

When you first start watching the Twitch stream, the connected chatbot will usually mention what its special chat commands are. It would be a bad idea to include them here, as they can vary greatly depending on the chatbot service and the streamer’s settings.

For the most popular Twitch chatbots, here are the official chat command lists

Moobot

Chat Commands for Twitch Streamers on Discord

Some of the most popular Twitch streamers use Discord to connect with their fans and subscribers one-on-one or in groups. Twitch and Discord both allow the installation of chatbots for enhanced functionality, and the selection on offer on both platforms is impressive to say the least.

Role-playing games can be played with some Discord bots, while music from Spotify or YouTube can be played with others.

Despite the fact that some Discord servers are connected to a Twitch channel, you cannot use chat commands from Twitch on the Discord service or vice versa.
